My students have always enjoyed using the Frayer Model when learning new vocabulary words. While it does take a little planning and some extra time, the benefits are well worth it! Creating digital flashcards is another great way to engage students in building their vocabulary. It also allows for the use of pictures and words which is a great way for ELL students to join in on the fun!
